Custom print quote: when you need one and what to send
When a job needs a quote instead of the live price, and the details to include (size, quantity, material, deadline, postcode, artwork) for an accurate reply.

Ask for a custom print quote when the job does not fit a product page: a size beyond the product’s limits, a quantity above the largest step, a finish that is not in the options, several different items priced together, or delivery to an area we quote. For everything else, the live price on the product page is the price. A good quote request gives the size, quantity, material, deadline, postcode and artwork status, and that is what this page helps you put together.
When you do not need a quote #
Most orders never need a custom print quote. Product pages price every listed combination instantly, and many take custom sizes too. For example:
- PVC banners take any size from 300 mm up to 16 ft 5 in × 9 ft 10 in (5000 × 3000 mm);
- Correx boards take any size from 100 mm up to 2440 × 1220 mm;
- custom vinyl stickers take any size from 50 mm up to 5000 × 1300 mm.
If your size is inside those limits, type it in and the price appears. Quantity discounts are already built in too, because the price each drops as the quantity rises on many products. Our article on print prices explained shows how that works.
When a custom print quote is the right route #
Sizes outside the limits
A banner wider than 5 m, a board bigger than 2440 × 1220 mm, or a shape that is not on the product page all need pricing by hand. So do jobs that need several panels to line up, such as a long run of hoarding or a wide backdrop.
Large quantities
Every product has a largest quantity step. PVC banners go up to 99 in the configurator, Correx boards up to 1,000 and business cards up to 5,000. If you need more, or a big run split across several designs, ask.
Finishes and materials not in the options
If you want something the options do not show, ask rather than assume. We will tell you plainly if it is something we can make or not.
Several items together
If you are kitting out an event, a site or a new shop, one quote covering banners, signs and stationery is easier to compare and approve than ten separate baskets.
Quoted delivery areas
Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted before ordering. What to include in a custom print quote request #
The more complete the request, the fewer questions we need to ask before replying with a price. Our get a quote form has four short steps, and this is what each one needs.

Measure the space before you ask, and say whether your size is the space or the finished item. A photo of the fence, wall or window helps too. Our guide on what size banner you need explains how to measure.
Artwork in a quote request
The form gives three choices: you have artwork, you need design help, or you have no artwork yet and just want a price. If you have files, you can upload up to 5, at 25 MB each. PDF with 3 mm bleed is ideal; AI, EPS, SVG, PNG, JPG, TIFF, PSD, Word and ZIP files are accepted too. If you need design help, write the wording you want in the notes. Every uploaded file gets a free file check before anything is printed.
What happens after you send it #
- You get a reference number on screen, and you can tick a box to have a copy of your request emailed to you.
- A person reads your custom print quote request. If anything is missing or unclear, we ask before quoting rather than guess.
- We reply with a price by the method you chose: email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Quoted prices have no VAT added, because we are not VAT registered.
We do not promise a fixed reply time, because some jobs need checking with production before we can price them. If your deadline is close, say so in the request, or call 0161 315 1151 and quote your reference.
Tips for a faster, more accurate custom print quote #
- Give one size per line if items differ, rather than “various sizes”.
- Mention if a standard product nearly fits. A size on the product page may do the job for less.
- Tell us how long the item needs to last and whether it goes indoors or outdoors.
- Say if the date is fixed, such as an opening or an event, or flexible.
Once you accept a quote, the order works like any other, and your usual consumer rights apply; the gov.uk consumer protection rights page sets them out in general terms. No job is too small to ask about: there is no minimum order, and we quote single items as well as large runs.
