A booklet holds more than a leaflet and stays together on a desk or a coffee table. Businesses use them for catalogues and price lists, venues and schools for programmes and prospectuses, and teams for training manuals, reports and menus.
Saddle Stitched Booklets are stapled through the spine, from 8 to 48 pages, on 130gsm silk or gloss or 170gsm silk. You can have a self cover on the same paper, or a 250gsm silk or 350gsm silk card cover. Wiro Bound Booklets use a wire binding in black, white or silver, from 60 to 104 pages, and open flat, which suits manuals and workbooks. Perfect Bound Booklets have a glued square spine, from 40 to 88 pages, with a 250gsm or 300gsm silk cover and a matt, gloss or soft touch lamination option.

Sizes include A6 (105 × 148 mm), A5 (148 × 210 mm) and A4 (210 × 297 mm) in portrait or landscape, plus square 210 × 210 mm. Saddle stitched and perfect bound booklets also come in DL and 148 × 148 mm. Page counts go up in fours for stapled and perfect bound books.
Silk paper is smooth with a low sheen and keeps text easy to read. Gloss makes photos brighter. 90gsm smooth white, on wiro and perfect bound books, takes pen and pencil for workbooks. A laminated cover protects the booklet from scuffs. Choose a heavier cover if the booklet will be handled a lot.

What is the difference between saddle stitched and perfect bound?
Saddle stitched booklets are stapled through the fold of the spine and suit 8 to 48 pages. Perfect bound booklets have a glued square spine, suit 40 to 88 pages, and look more like a paperback.
How should I supply booklet artwork?
Send one PDF with single pages in reading order, not spreads, with 3 mm bleed on every page. The number of pages in the file should match the page count you chose.
Why must page counts go up in fours?
Stapled and perfect bound booklets are made from sheets folded in half, and each folded sheet gives four pages. That is why the page options go up in steps of four.
Which booklet lies flat when open?
Wiro bound booklets open flat because the pages turn on a wire binding. They suit manuals, workbooks and menus, from 60 to 104 pages, with black, white or silver wire.
