Envelope printing for business post
A printed envelope tells the recipient who the post is from before they open it, and a printed return address means undelivered mail comes back to you. Accountants, schools, charities, clubs and any business that sends invoices or statements by post use them.
Printed Envelopes are ready-made white self seal envelopes, printed with your design. There are three sizes and two paper weights, with or without an address window. You can print in black only or in full colour, on the front or on the front and back, which is useful for a return address on the flap side or a message on the back.
Because the envelopes are made first and printed afterwards, the design sits within a printable area rather than running to the edges.
Choosing a size, window and print

Choose a window envelope if you print the recipient's address on the letter itself, as most invoicing and accounts software does. Choose no window for handwritten or labelled post. Paper is 90gsm or 100gsm white; 100gsm feels a little firmer. Self seal envelopes have a peel-off strip over the glue, so there is no need to moisten the flap, which saves time on a large mailing. A C5 envelope also takes A5 leaflets and booklets flat.
Print options are black on the front, full colour on the front, black front and back, or full colour front and back. Black suits a simple logo and return address. Full colour matches your brand colours. Quantities are 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000.

Which envelope fits an A4 letter?
A DL envelope (220 × 110 mm) fits an A4 sheet folded in three. A C5 envelope fits A4 folded in half, and a C4 envelope takes A4 flat without folding.
Can you print to the edge of an envelope?
No. We print on ready-made envelopes, so the design sits within a printable area away from the edges and seams. Keep your logo and address clear of the window as well.
Should I choose a window envelope?
Choose a window if your letters or invoices already have the recipient address printed in the window position. Choose no window if you handwrite addresses or use address labels.
