Our safety signs cover the workplace signs employers, facilities managers and site teams need, from fire exit and warning signs to prohibition, mandatory, CCTV, washroom and recycling signs. There are 263 ready-made designs in 13 ranges. Most use a registered ISO 7010 symbol where one exists, and the rest are clear text signs. You pick the design, the size and the material: 3mm Foamex, 3mm Dibond aluminium composite or self-adhesive vinyl. No VAT is added, so the price shown is the price you pay.

Are safety signs a legal requirement in the UK?
Under the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, employers must provide a safety sign where a risk cannot be avoided or adequately controlled by other means. Signs warn about the risk that remains. Your risk assessment tells you which signs you need and where to put them.
What are the five types of safety sign?
Prohibition signs use a red circle with a bar, mandatory signs a blue circle, and warning signs a yellow triangle. Safe condition signs are green squares or rectangles, such as fire exits and first aid. Fire equipment signs are red squares or rectangles showing where extinguishers and call points are.
What size safety sign do I need?
Allow about 1 metre of viewing distance for every 25 mm of the shorter side. An A4 sign reads at about 8 m, A3 at 12 m, A2 at 17 m and A1 at 24 m. Go a size up in poor light or where people are moving fast.
Which material should I choose for a safety sign?
For indoor walls and doors, 3mm Foamex or self-adhesive vinyl is usually enough. For outdoor signs or signs that need to stay up for years, choose 3mm Dibond aluminium composite, which stays flat and does not rot or rust.
