For large items read from a distance, 100 to 150 dpi at the finished size is enough. At 100 dpi a 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) design needs about 11,811 × 7,874 pixels. Logos and text are best as vector artwork, which stays sharp at any size. Photos taken from websites or social media are usually far too small; our file check flags images that may print soft.

Keep it short: one main line people can read from across the room or the street, plus a name or a date if you need it. Three to six words in large letters beat a long sentence in small ones. Let it dry completely, wipe off any dirt, then roll it loosely with the printed side facing out, around a tube if you have one.
