Under COSHH and the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, areas and stores holding hazardous substances should be marked so people know the risk before entering. Your risk assessment tells you which signs to use and where. Caution Chemical Store and Dangerous Chemicals No Admittance are common choices.

Which sign do I need for a battery charging area?

Caution Battery Charging and Battery Charging Area Explosive Gases use the ISO 7010 W026 symbol. Battery Charging PPE and No Smoking adds the P002 no smoking symbol, and Forklifts Charging marks a truck charging point. Pick the one that matches your risk assessment.
