Terms and conditions

The terms that apply when you order from InstantBanners.

Last updated

These terms apply to every order placed on instantbanners.co.uk. Please read them before you order.

1. Who we are and these terms and conditions #

InstantBanners is a trading name of WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16585795. Our registered office is Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester, M8 8EB. You can contact us on 0161 315 1151 or at hello@webprintsigns.co.uk.

2. Your order and our contract #

When you place an order you will receive an email confirming we have received it. Our contract with you starts when we accept your order, which we confirm by sending you an order confirmation. We may decline an order, for example if the artwork is unlawful, if we cannot make the item, or if there is an obvious pricing error. If we decline, we refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment #

Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and the price shown at checkout is the full price. Standard delivery to UK mainland addresses is included. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you place your order. We never see or store your full card number.

4. Artwork and file checks #

You are responsible for the content of your artwork, including spelling, phone numbers, sizes and legal wording. You confirm that you have the right to use every image, logo and text you send us and that printing it will not break any law or anyone else’s rights. We check files for print quality. Production starts once your order and artwork are confirmed. We are not responsible for mistakes in a design you approved or a file you supplied.

Colours on screens vary, and printed colours can differ slightly from what you see on your screen or on a previous print run. Sizes can vary by a few millimetres because of cutting and finishing tolerances.

Online designer and design files. Designing and previewing in our online designer is free; previews carry a small preview mark. When you order printing with a design you made there, the print-ready PDF is attached to your order and you can download it from My Account once the order is paid. You can also buy the print-ready PDF on its own (a “design file”, £9.99 per design, no printing or delivery). A design file is licensed for your own use and not for resale. It is digital content: at checkout you ask for it straight away and confirm that your right to cancel ends once the download starts. A faulty file will be put right or refunded. You are responsible for checking the spelling and details of any design you approve.

5. Safety signs #

We print safety signs to the designs and ISO 7010 references shown on each product page. Choosing the right signs, sizes and positions for your premises is your responsibility and should follow your own risk assessment and any advice from your fire safety or health and safety adviser.

6. Delivery #

Production times and delivery are described on our delivery page. Times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will keep you informed and you can cancel for a refund if the delay is long.

7. Cancellations, returns and faulty goods #

Your rights to cancel and to return items are set out on our returns and refunds page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Our liability #

If we fail to meet these terms we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure, up to the price you paid for the order. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses such as loss of profit or missed events. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your rights as a consumer.

9. Business customers #

If you order as a business, section 8 applies with the exclusion of consumer-only rights, and our total liability is limited to the price of the order.

10. Your personal data #

We use your personal data as described in our privacy notice.

11. Law and disputes #

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to put it right.
