How-to guide
How to make a wedding website, step by step
Whether you build it yourself or have it built, the steps are the same. Here they are, with the shortcuts that matter for multi-day weddings.
- Six steps
- Works for every event
- Or we build it
The steps
Six steps to a wedding website
- 11. List your events
Dholki, mehndi, nikkah, baraat, walima, or ceremony and reception. Date, time and venue for each.
- 22. Decide who sees what
Not every guest is invited to every event. Plan the groups first.
- 33. Choose the RSVP questions
Attending, numbers, meals, dietary needs. Keep it short.
- 44. Pick a look
One look for the whole site, or a colour per event.
- 55. Write the details
Dress codes, parking, hotels, the timeline. Short and plain.
- 66. Share it
A link in the family WhatsApp group, and a QR code on the cards.
The hard parts
Where most couples get stuck
Multi-day weddings are where do-it-yourself sites struggle: separate RSVPs per event, different guest lists, a headcount for each venue. Plan that before you start building, or it turns into a spreadsheet.
The other sticking point is the QR code. Print it at least 2 cm across on cards, and much bigger on banners and backdrops. You can make a wedding QR code here, free.
