Enter Sign

Use this sign where you need to say "Enter" clearly. It guides drivers and visitors to the right entrance or exit, and is commonly fitted in car parks, business parks, hospitals and depots. The design uses a clear blue and white information layout.

The wording "Enter" is set in large, high-contrast lettering so it reads quickly.

The legal background: on private land, car park signs set the terms of use. If you use a parking operator, check their signage rules as well.

Materials: 3.5mm Correx fluted polypropylene, light and waterproof, ideal for temporary and site signs, 5mm Foamex, a thicker PVC foam board that stays flatter at larger sizes and 3mm Dibond aluminium composite, rigid and weatherproof for long-term outdoor use. For signs that stay outdoors for a long time, Dibond is the most durable choice.

Sizes and viewing distance: A3 (297 x 420 mm) (reads at about 12 m); A2 (420 x 594 mm) (reads at about 17 m); A1 (594 x 841 mm) (reads at about 24 m). As a guide we allow about 1 metre of viewing distance for every 25mm of sign height, based on the distance-factor method in ISO 3864-1, so choose a bigger size for long corridors, yards and car parks.

Where to put it: At junctions and entrances, readable from a moving vehicle.
