Danger Falling Objects Sign

"Danger Falling Objects" is a message people need to take in at a glance. This sign warns of objects or loads that may fall from above and suits scaffolds, cranes, work at height and loading areas. The design uses a yellow hazard triangle with a bold DANGER message, with the ISO 7010 W015 (Overhead load) symbol.

By common convention the word DANGER is kept for hazards that could kill or seriously injure, so it stands out from routine caution signs.

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 the principal contractor must take steps to prevent unauthorised access to the site, and safety signs are part of that. Keep a note of where each sign is fitted as part of your records.

As a guide we allow about 1 metre of viewing distance for every 25mm of sign height, based on the distance-factor method in ISO 3864-1: A3 landscape (420 x 297 mm) (reads at about 12 m); A2 landscape (594 x 420 mm) (reads at about 17 m); A1 landscape (841 x 594 mm) (reads at about 24 m).
